What is the difference between a spider and a search engine?
RetrievalWare Spider is a vastly superior to standard internet search
engines. The Spider searches not only for your exact word or phrase match
but also for related words or concepts that may be relevant to your query
making it an intelligent search engine. The RetrievalWare search can also
analyze your query terms as a pattern which tolerates spelling mistakes

Can I do mail merges from the databases?
Yes, you can easily do postal or e-mail merges.
Is there a contact management system?
Yes, every biography comes equipped with three contact management fields
which only you can see. You can use them to record meetings, conversations
or correspondence.
Can I access the Wizard from anywhere?
Yes, provided you are online and you have the correct username and password.
Can colleagues access the Wizard?
Yes, provided they have valid passwords. You can even all access it simultaneously.
Again, you are the customer and you should decide who has access.
How often are the biographical databases updated?
We update them every day. At least twice a year we also ask the politicians
to overhaul their own biographies.
Is my search profile saved?
Yes, it is saved so that you do not have to key it in repeatedly.
Can I change my search terms?
Yes, at any time and at no cost.
Would the Wizard put a strain on our server?
No, everything is run on our servers.
Is the Wizard secure?
Yes, we operate the very latest anti-virus and firewall software.
Can't we do our own monitoring through the Parliament website?
Yes, you can. However our system uses Excalibur, which is widely regarded
as being the most powerful search engine in the world. In one sweep it
will pick up all items of relevance to you. The relevant material is then
presented in a way which makes it easy to view, easy to archive, and easy
to distribute.
Why should we use you instead of DeHaviland?
Because we are more accurate, more flexible and more affordable!
We have tied all of the UK's postcodes to the relevant constituencies.
Can't I just write to my MP anyway?
Yes - if you know who he or she is! We provide you with the right elected representatives for your area, the correct form of address, and the current contact details.
Does it work elsewhere?
Yes, in the US this kind of campaigning is well-established and effective.
How will we know if Political Wizard is achieving anything?
We will be logging all of the traffic through the website and will provide reports. Hopefully in time the campaign will produce concrete results, whether in the form of declared support by your legislator, questions or motions - or a change of policy if your argument is strong enough and it is coherently (and politely!) put across by as many people as possible.
What can the Political Wizard achieve for my organisation?

Won't they get annoyed if lots of people contact them?
